Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Software QA Engineer experienced in cloud and IoT testing. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quality Assurance Engineer at ThingsX located in Taoyuan City with flexibility for remote work. You will be responsible for testing and validating ThingsX Cloud. This role ensure system stability and deployment consistency. The position will take over existing cloud QA responsibilities and work closely with RD teams across Taiwan, Shenzhen, and the US to drive automation and quality improvement. The role involves ensuring the reliability and functionality of IoT products and services through meticulous testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct functional and API testing for ThingsX Cloud
• Use Postman, Python, JMeter, and Playwright for API, automation, and performance testing.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and reports with detailed issue tracking.
• Validate and compare behaviors across multiple environments
• Perform log analysis for cloud and device-side services to identify issues.
• Maintain Jenkins pipelines and automation test jobs.
• Collaborate with global QA and RD teams for feature verification and regression testing.
Requirements
• Proficient in RESTful API testing and automation (Postman / Python Requests / Pytest).
• Experienced in Linux operations, log tracing, and debugging.
• Familiar with MQTT protocols and IoT cloud testing flows.
• Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD or equivalent automation environments.
• Basic understanding of SQL and JSON structures.
• Strong English communication and cross-region collaboration skills.
• 3+ years of experience in software or cloud QA roles.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Playwright / Selenium / Cypress for UI automation.
• Proficiency in JMeter for load or MQTT simulation testing.
