Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. The interpreter will be responsible for providing high-quality Mandarin interpretation services over the phone or via video calls. Day-to-day tasks include accurately interpreting conversations between Mandarin and English speakers, ensuring clear and effective communication, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. The interpreter will also be required to keep records of interpretation sessions and stay updated on interpretation best practices.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English
- Proficiency in OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) is a plus
- Experience in providing interpretation services in a professional setting
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Language Studies, Interpretation, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in a BPO or customer service environment is a plus
