Summary
As part of an experienced engineering team, you will take ownership of schematic design, component selection, and layout review to ensure high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable hardware systems. You will contribute throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from early prototyping through EVT/DVT/PVT to mass production—and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on hardware bring-up, debugging, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead schematic design and component selection for camera hardware systems.
- Review and guide PCB layout to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., FCC, CE).
- Conduct hardware validation, including board bring-up, functional testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Firmware, RF, Test, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles to ensure readiness for mass production.
- Support factory builds (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP), including test planning, debugging, and on-site support as needed.
- Maintain detailed hardware documentation, including schematics, BoMs, and validation test reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing hardware for embedded systems, with strong background in camera systems preferred.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and layout review tools (e.g., OrCAD, Allegro, Altium).
- Solid understanding of power management, signal interfaces, and hardware bring-up techniques.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other lab instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English within a professional engineering setting; fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required.
