. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of key hardware and platform programs, shaping how VIAVI enables customers to validate next-generation
5G, IoT, Connected Vehicle, and Cloud infrastructures
.
In this role, you will act as the
voice of the customer
, working closely with global Service Providers, Cloud Operators, and Equipment Manufacturers to translate requirements into world-class products. You will collaborate across
Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales
to define product strategy, drive go-to-market execution, and ensure delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions. This is a unique opportunity to combine

Job Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define product vision, market requirements, and long-term roadmap in alignment with VIAVI's strategic goals.
- Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to capture insights and translate them into actionable product definitions.
Execution & Delivery
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
- Translate product requirements into clear specifications and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
Go-to-Market & Demand Generation
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop GTM plans, positioning, and collateral that drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Enable Sales and Customer Success teams with training, tools, and messaging to support customer adoption.
Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence
- Serve as the voice of the customer, nurturing strategic relationships and incorporating feedback into roadmap planning.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.
Thought Leadership & Evangelism
- Represent VIAVI at industry events, webinars, and technical forums, positioning the company as a leader in Ethernet testing.
- Deliver compelling presentations that communicate the value of VIAVI's solutions.
Hands-On Problem Solving
- Roll up your sleeves to resolve customer challenges, ensuring reliability and usability of VIAVI solutions.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a Product Management/Product Owner role.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of networking architectures, protocols, and applications.
- Familiarity with Ethernet testing solutions (preferred).
- Awareness of technology trends and their potential impact on the networking industry.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong collaboration skills across diverse functions and geographies.
- English fluency (verbal and written) required; Mandarin proficiency desirable but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel globally (up to 25% or more).
