About the Role
The team is building an internal Workflow Optimization & Data Process Team to enhance efficiency, quality, and delivery across project teams. This role is ideal for a technically skilled junior professional who enjoys problem-solving, data-driven thinking, and translating business requirements into automated solutions.
You will work closely with the manager, who defines
what
workflows to optimize and
why
. Your responsibility is to implement those ideas into Python scripts, SQL queries, data pipelines, dashboards, and machine learning prototypes that improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Build automation scripts and tools in Python/SQL/R to reduce manual work and streamline processes.
• Design and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
• Develop dashboards and visualisations (Tableau/Power BI/other BI tools) to support reporting and insights.
• Apply basic statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., classification, clustering, forecasting) to workflow data.
• Collaborate with the manager to translate workflow optimization ideas into technical execution.
• Document workflows, maintain code repositories, and ensure reproducibility of solutions.
• Support cross-team adoption of tools, ensuring usability and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn), SQL, and proficient in Tableau.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (particularly Google Sheets), with ability to manage, analyze, and collaborate on data efficiently.
• Strong understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and visualisation.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts (classification, clustering, regression).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to structure problems logically.
• Strong communication skills to understand business requirements and present technical outputs clearly.
• Proactive learner with curiosity to explore new tools and techniques.
• Advanced English skills, with Mandarin Chinese fluency viewed as an advantage.
Nice-to-Have
• Experience deploying automation workflows or dashboards in a team setting.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Background in healthcare-related industries, products, or companies, with familiarity in MedTech or life sciences data and workflows.
