Involves managing payroll, HRIS, compliance with Taiwan labor law, and supporting daily HR operations like talent acquisition and employee relations. Key responsibilities include calculating wages, managing deductions and taxes, and ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring legal compliance, managing HR systems, administering compensation and benefits, providing hands-on administrative support for smooth HR function, and collaborating with HR and accounting teams, and staying updated on Taiwanese statutory requirements and tax regulations. A strong command of both Taiwanese and English, a Bachelor's degree, and at least 5 years of HR experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, HR information systems (HRIS), and benefits administration. - Taiwan Labor Law Compliance:
Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with Taiwan's Labor Standards Act and other relevant regulations. Also ensure all payroll processing and payments adhere to Taiwan's complex labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements. - HR Administration:
Provide administrative support for talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations to ensure efficient HR processes. - HRIS Management:
Utilize and manage Human Resource Information Systems to support HR functions and data management. - Reporting & Analytics:
Generate HR reports and use data analytics to support decision-making and improve HR processes. - Policy & Handbook Maintenance:
Regularly update the Taiwan Employee Handbook to align with company values and legal requirements. - Employee & Labor Relations:
Manage and document labor-management meetings as required by Taiwan labor regulations. - Payroll Processing:
Manage the full payroll cycle, including collecting timesheet data and calculating wages, benefits, and deductions for all employees. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee details, pay slips, and annual tax information. - Tax Filings & Statutory Payments:
Prepare and file necessary tax declarations with Taiwanese authorities and ensure timely payments to statutory bodies. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the back office HR teams to process new hires, leavers, and promotions, and with the accounting team for financial reporting and data integration. - Employee Support:
Serve as a point of contact to address and resolve employee queries and issues related to payroll. - Reporting:
Generate payroll registers and other management reports for internal and external submission. - Internal Controls:
Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy within the payroll system.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration.
- At least 5 years working knowledge of human resource disciplines.
