Job Role: Control System Engineer

Job Description:
A. Participate in system design –
- Advise and review projects in the sales phase (compliance check) - Translate and optimize the as-sold functionality to a working LLC design within the budget available in co-operation with other disciplines (LLC, HLC, Installation, etc.
 - Identify specials and coordinate design
 - Be able to recognize project risks and technical problems and react proactively
 
B. Create / configure LLC software-
- Create a detailed design, based on a system design and control architecture
 - Realise controls applications and integrate into (sub)systems based on LLC design and standards (build and configure, generate / program)
 - Implement project-specific software function
 
C. Commission LLC software –
- Execute pre-commissioning (I/O, MRT, cabinet functionality, etc.)
 - Execute commissioning (functionality, capacity, requirements)
 - Jointly execute LLC integration (area to area, 3PS equipment, SCADA)
 - Execute volume testing together with the project team (flows, capacity, redundancy)
 
D. Test and validate software
- Create documentation and a test and validation plan (FAT, SAT) based on MTP, for own work field, and tune with other disciplines
 - Create module and interface tests based on the validation strategy
 - Execute tests in-house and/or on-site, including creating/supporting integration tests
 
E. Plan, report, and teamwork
- Create detailed LLC planning from the overall project plan
 - Reports progress to the Project Leader, Engineering
 - Delivers scope with predictable quality in time and within budget
 
F. Continuous improvement
- Transfer knowledge to other engineers
 - Initiates improvements in content, process, and tooling
 - Feeds back lessons learned from the project into product, process, and tooling
 - Build Reputation with Customers
 - Create effective and good working relationships with all departments to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded

- Ensure all requests are dealt with efficiently, ensuring employees have everything required in order to carry out their daily duties

Basic Qualifications
A. Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation Engineering
B. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
C. Proficient in Siemens PLC is a plus
D. Good written and spoken English
E. Basic knowledge in EM components, cabinets, and field wiring
F. Basic knowledge of relevant project engineering processes
G. Must be willing and able to travel domestically with occasional international opportunities
Your Profile
A. Skills Abilities –
- Able to develop LLC code in relevant platform (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, FSC, …)
 - Has knowledge of SCADA applications in relevant platforms (WinCC, WebFactory, …)
 - Able to develop safety systems using relevant platforms (Siemens S7-F, PILZ, conventional, …)
 - Has knowledge of IT network designs
 - Able to perform health and safety risk analysis on component and system level
 - Understands material handling systems on a system level. Basic Intermediate Advanced Expert
 - Has knowledge of customer processes in relevant market segments
 - Has knowledge of test strategies/test methods/risk analysis and relevant tooling (Quality Center, UFT / QTP, Jenkins, emulation tooling, …)
 - Has knowledge of material handling equipment (DOTM, RAW, ICS, ASRS, loops, …)
 - Has knowledge of relevant engineering processes
 - Has knowledge of business process automation (HLC)
