Your Team, Your Impact
This Sr Staff Test Engineer will be part of Marvell Optics PTE group-Hsinchu office, where we take all of Marvell's optical DCI products from early NPI, develop and validate manufacturing and test solutions to bring the products to success HVM. This position offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in and drive the success of Marvell's cutting-edge technology and its productization.

Our Optics products contain a group of most-advanced technology that covers Silicon Photonics and Electronic ICs, DSPs, pluggable transceiver modules, Light Engines and co-packaged optics. This Test Engineer role will be responsible for the test development and sustaining of our optical subassembly mfg. lines, with a focus on hardware and hands-on experience, but it'll be a big plus if you have an edge on software (Labview, Python etc.).

What You Can Expect

  • Develop and optimize test methodologies for optical/electrical performance validation (e.g., IV, TIA/DRV behavior, MZM control, PD characterization).
  • Design, set up, and maintain automated and semi-automated optical/electrical test stations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with design, packaging, and process teams to define test requirements and ensure design-for-test (DfT) alignment.
  • Support test readiness for new product introduction (NPI) and mass production ramp.
  • Interact with external vendors, contract manufacturers, and FA teams to resolve issues and improve test quality.
  • Document test processes, procedures, and technical learnings in a structured, clear manner.

Requirements
What We're Looking For

  • BS degree with 8yr+ or MS degree with 5yr+; Optics, EE, Physics or relevant major preferred.
  • 5yr+ Experience in silicon photonics, optical and electrical device characterization and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment (SMU, Optical switch, OSA, tunable laser, polarization controller ..), tooling/jigs.
  • Experience in equipment automation control for testing.
  • Industry experience in Object-oriented scripting language like C++, Python, Visual Basic, or LabVIEW for volume production highly preferred.
  • Familiar with photonics concepts such as waveguides, modulators, photodetectors, tunable lasers, and fiber coupling techniques.
