Role Purpose
- Project lead for new metrology and new business development for Corning Incorporated. Communication and lead with multiple stakeholders for concept, design, manufacturing, commissioning and start-up of new metrology development project
 
Key Responsibilities
- Track attribute roadmap and business need for new requirement
 - Communicate and collect requirements from stakeholders
 - Make initial concept and build feasibility test for concept proven
 - Build SOW (scope of work) for system building
 - Create commissioning check sheet to validate
 - Manage project schedule and resource planning
 - Report project status and plan regularly
 - Compile project result and lesson learned
 
Experiences/Education - Required
- BS degree (or above) in Electrical / Mechanical / Computer-science Engineering
 - 5 + years of experience in related technical field
 - Software programming experience : Mainly PC based program language (C++, C#, SQL, Python and others)
 - Understanding of optical components, configuration and integration
 - Understanding of electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting
 - Able to effectively leverage external machine builders and system integrators to design, develop, and deploy integrated manufacturing systems to global manufacturing facilities
 - Basic project management skills (e.g. scoping, budgeting, timelines etc.)
 - Strong problem-solving skills
 - Individual must be capable of executing project assignments, in a cross-functional team-based environment
 - Rigor in experimental execution and analysis.
 
Experiences/Education - Desired
- English proficiency: OPIc IM3 above or comparable English skill
 - Software / Controls programming experience : PLC, HMI, SCADA and others
 - Able to apply systems engineering approach to designing, managing and troubleshooting complex systems
 - Familiarity with industrial communication technologies (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet, etc)
 - Controls / Electrical e xperience in m anufacturing
