Materials Coordinator
(m/f/d)
to join our International Brand Business Team. We are a leading global brand dedicated to creating smart, helpful, and bold baby gear since 2007.
The principal objective of the
Materials Coordinator
is to support the PM team and serve as a liaison between different US and global teams during the development and execution of soft goods and fashion for multiple company brands.
What you'll do
Material Development & Management:
- Help multiple teams with fabric and trim development, including obtaining quotations and conducting fabric tests.
- Organize and monitor the fabric/trim testing process and work with multiple teams to ensure that the material quality meets the brand's requirements.
- Keep records of the costs for fabric and trim on an annual basis.
- Maintain textile certifications annually.
Color Management:
- Supporting Fashion Team with color evaluation (risk assessment of material/color combinations) from lab dip, sample tank to production fabric
- Work closely with factory to maintain and expedite the process for correct color execution from lab dip, sample tank to production fabric.
- Assist the Legal Team in patent applications for print patterns
- Collaborate with the Fashion team on toy development
- Review and evaluate lab dips, strike-offs, trims, sample tank and bulk submissions to ensure consistency and quality of color.
- Organized fabric and lab dip library
Other:
- Establish and maintain effective, cooperative, and collaborative working relationships with team members, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience in the textile/apparel manufacturing industry within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Has a keen sense of color or color theory
- Ability to prioritize and multitask with a keen sense of detail.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, highly organize..
- Textile knowledge and understanding of testing labs is a plus.
- Certified Nike's Colorist or similar retailer-specific color certification is a plus.
