Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing over-the-phone and video remote interpretation services in Mandarin. Day-to-day tasks include accurately interpreting conversations in real-time, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and delivering high-quality customer service. The role may also involve handling various interpretation assignments and providing language support across different scenarios.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English
- Experience in over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI) is a plus
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills
- Familiarity with interpretation ethics, standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle diverse interpretation scenarios
- Professional certification in interpretation is a plus
- Previous experience in the BPO or customer service industry is beneficial
- Comfortable with technology and remote work setups
