About Swiftlane

We're rethinking how buildings connect people and security — designing products that feel seamless, secure, and beautifully engineered. Swiftlane's hardware powers smart buildings across the U.S., combining access control, video, and intelligent automation into one modern platform.

We're expanding our hardware engineering team in Taiwan
— the heart of global manufacturing and design — to help bring the next generation of connected devices to life.

Why This Role Matters

This isn't a maintenance job. You'll be part of the small, core team designing entirely new products — from board architecture to manufacturing. The work you do will go into production
, not sit in a lab. You'll get to see your designs become real devices installed in hundreds of buildings across the world.

You'll get to:

  • Architect and design high-quality, production-ready electronic boards.
  • Work hands-on with displays, sensors, cameras, and power systems for commercial-grade devices.
  • Solve real-world reliability and manufacturability challenges.
  • Collaborate directly with mechanical, firmware, and U.S.-based product teams — fast, direct communication, no corporate layers.
  • Participate in prototype bring-up, validation, and design for manufacturing.

Who You Are

  • You've built and shipped hardware before — you understand the satisfaction of seeing your board light up the first time.
  • You think in systems: not just circuits, but how they fit into an entire product.
  • You value precision and craftsmanship but know when to move fast.
  • You want your work to make a tangible impact on real products in the world.

Why Join Swiftlane

  • Ownership & equity:
We don't just offer stock options — we treat engineers as founders in the mission.
  • Small, elite team:
You'll be one of the first hardware engineers in Taiwan, with influence over design, tools, and vendor selection.
  • Global collaboration:
Work directly with the founding and engineering team in San Francisco.
  • Engineering-first culture:
Decisions are driven by quality, not politics.
  • Purpose-driven:
We're building technology that improves safety, convenience, and quality of life in buildings.
