Position Overview
This position manages the complete Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) cycles, ensuring accurate vendor and customer transactions. Responsibilities include assisting in month-end closing, general ledger preparation, and financial reports. The role also enforces compliance with accounting policies and regulations, supports internal controls, and assists with audits and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP),
ensuring all invoices received for payment and undertaking the necessary steps to ensure accurate and timely disbursement to vendors. - Manage Accounts Receivable (AR),
ensuring timely invoices, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. - Documentation
: Maintain accurate, organized, and complete AP/AR records and vendor/customer files. - Closing Support:
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries, reconciling AP/ AR sub-ledger to the general ledger, and performing accruals. - Compliance & Reporting
: Ensure all payment transactions adhere to internal controls, accounting policies, and tax regulations (e.g., WHT, VAT where applicable). - Assisting in preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of financial data, resolve discrepancies, and support operational efficiency.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, preparing required schedules and documentation to ensure smooth audits.
- Support ad-hoc projects, financial analysis, and management requests as required.
- Ensure operational excellence in recruitment processes and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an added advantage
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, and month-end closing, preferably in a multinational or fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in accounting systems (SAP) as well as advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in handling financial information.
- Adaptability to take on ad-hoc assignments and contribute to projects beyond core responsibilities.
