An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a globally recognised organisation, where your expertise will directly influence strategic financial decisions and drive operational excellence. You will be at the heart of financial planning and analysis activities, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders while championing best practices across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise senior leadership in Taiwan on complex financial matters, providing clear recommendations to optimise gross profit margins and ensure effective cost management across all business units.
- Take ownership of all financial planning and analysis activities within Taiwan, serving as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders seeking guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports covering cost of goods sold (COGS), operational expenses, and capital expenditures (CAPEX), including detailed variance analysis and identification of key performance drivers.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional finance teams to harmonise costing methodologies and reporting standards across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial data.
- Support the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term investment plans—particularly those related to new production site expansions or major capital projects.
- Implement robust key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, regularly monitoring results and providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion process improvements by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency within finance operations, supporting global product cost simulations as needed.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of ten years' experience in finance roles with at least three years spent within manufacturing or engineering environments where you have developed deep industry knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders by providing thoughtful advice that influences high-level decision-making processes.
- Proven track record in preparing compelling management presentations that translate complex data into clear narratives for non-financial audiences.
- Extensive experience managing project costing activities alongside strong problem-solving skills that enable you to offer practical solutions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication abilities combined with resilience and adaptability when navigating changing priorities or challenging situations within cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative approach that emphasises teamwork, knowledge sharing, and mutual support among colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience using SAP S4 / PS / SAC / BW or BI systems would be highly advantageous but is not essential if you demonstrate strong technical aptitude.
