Reporting to the Director of Bars, the
Bar Operations Manager
at Capella Taipei – The Glasshouse is a leadership role responsible for orchestrating all aspects of The Glasshouse. Acting as both strategist and hands-on leader, the Bar Operations Manager delivers a seamless blend of service, innovation, and financial performance while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

  • Operational Leadership
    : Direct and oversee daily bar operations across all outlets, ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across for a destination bar venue.
  • Team Management & Development
    : Recruit, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of bar managers, bartenders, and support staff; conduct performance reviews; build career growth pathways.
  • Guest Experience & Service Excellence
    : Champion Capella's service philosophy by ensuring each guest receives personalized, memorable experiences at The Glasshouse's multi-level journey.
  • Beverage Program & Innovation
    : Collaborate with bar managers to design award-worthy cocktail menus, curate beverage offerings tailored to The Glasshouse, launch seasonal menus, and integrate global mixology trends.
  • Financial & Administrative Oversight
    : Manage budgets, P&L, procurement, and inventory; implement strategies to drive profitability while maintaining service quality.
  • Brand & Marketing Collaboration
    : Partner with marketing to deliver impactful promotions, activations, and events across The Glasshouse; represent the venue locally and internationally as a brand ambassador.

Talent Profile

  • Experience
    : 8–10 years of progressive bar or hospitality management experience, ideally in award-winning or high-volume venues.
  • Leadership
    : Proven ability to lead large teams (20+ staff) in a dynamic, multi-outlet environment.
  • Expertise
    : Deep knowledge of mixology, luxury beverage service, and hospitality trends.
  • Business Acumen
    : Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Eligible to work in Taiwan
    .
  • Attributes

  • Hands-on, guest-facing leader who embodies Capella's service values.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across departments.
  • Multilingual capabilities and certifications in mixology or bar management are advantageous.
  • Prior exposure to Asia's or World's 50 Best Bars is highly desirable.
