Main Responsibility:
Achieve the efficient implementation of machine vision applications that combine our software with hardware such as robotic arms, 3D scanners, and 2D cameras:
Field application engineer = The software dynamo that converts the concept of the project into a real application that runs successfully.
Responsibilities:
Manage the application implementation process, being the orchestrator of all the different players such as sales, RD, System Integrator, end-customer, and others =
FAE is the project manager.
Design of experiments or tests to execute root cause analysis to determine the root issue of the application or software =
FAE is a problem solver.
Test the Solomon software and newly developed functions continuously to determine their capabilities in real applications and to guarantee their efficient performance =
FAE is the Quality Guardian.
Gather application results, testing results, and customer feedback, to relay the most impactful insights to the R&D and product management teams to drive continuous improvement =
FAE understands the needs of the customer and the project very well.
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to showcase and explain how our machine vision AI solutions can meet the customer needs -
FAE is an advanced teacher.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation that clearly explains the technical aspects of our solutions.
Provide on-site or remote training or technical support to customers to do the implementation and resolve integration and performance issues of the Automation system related to the software, robotic arm, 3D scanner, and 2D camera.
Collaborate with the sales team during the pre-sales process by providing feasibility analysis of the different cases, technical assistance, and developing proofs-of-concept.
Collaborate with teams such as Research and Development, Product management, Marketing, Sales, and Quality assurance, to drive product enhancements and resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related technical field.
Technical Expertise:
Continuously research emerging trends in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and imaging to optimize customer solutions.
Test design, data analysis, project management, and problem-solving or troubleshooting skills are highly required.
Basic knowledge of Automation systems.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of Articulated Robot arm.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and PLC is a plus.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Excellent command of English (speaking, writing, and reading).
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.
A team player.
4. Proven customer-facing experience with a track record of effective problem-solving and technical support.
Another language, such as Spanish, Japanese, French, Portuguese, or German, is a plus.
Other requirements:
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites if needed.
A proactive and self-motivated attitude with strong analytical and organizational skills.
