Positive Grid is shaping the future of guitar and music technology. We are looking for a DSP Engineer (mid to senior level) to join our team. You will design and refine real-time audio processing algorithms, and contribute to our transition toward AI-enhanced development workflows.

Depending on your experience, you may also take on system integration tasks and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

【Typical Accountabilities】

-DSP Algorithm Development

-Design, implement, and optimize real-time DSP algorithms for amps, pedals, and effects

-Contribute to virtual analog modeling and computational audio systems.

-Ensure algorithms run consistently across multiple platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, ARM/embedded systems).

【AI-Enhanced Workflow (Growth Area)】

-Use AI tools to accelerate DSP research, prototyping, and benchmarking.

-Support the adoption of automated and modular workflows for DSP development.

-Collaborate with AI engineers on machine learning approaches for tone modeling and testing.

【Collaboration & Growth】

-Work closely with sound designers, QA, and product managers to meet musical and technical goals.

-(Senior level) Mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping team workflows.

-Stay current with cutting-edge DSP and AI techniques and bring new ideas into development.

【Essential】

-Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

-Strong understanding of DSP theory: filters, transforms, nonlinear systems, time/frequency analysis.

-Proficiency in C++ for real-time audio; familiarity with Python or Matlab.

-Experience with real-time DSP implementation on at least one platform (desktop, mobile, or embedded).

-Familiarity with DAWs, plugins, or real-time audio systems.

【Desirable】

-Experience with virtual analog modeling, computational audio, or MIR.

-Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks for audio research.

-Experience with JUCE or other audio SDKs.

-Passion for music, ideally with guitar/bass or other instrument experience.
