About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Software QA Engineer
to join our team focused on
Payment Terminal
development. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our payment solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Android-based payment terminal applications and system software.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and stress testing across various hardware configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software to drive issue resolution and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems.
- Automate test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Analyze logs and system behavior to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Support certification and compliance testing (e.g., PCI, EMV, contactless payment standards).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in embedded systems or Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience testing Android applications and system-level features.
- Familiarity with payment terminal platforms (e.g., Verifone, Ingenico, PAX) or similar embedded devices.
- Ability to setup test environment, basic components knowledge.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Ability to read and analyze system logs and debug issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
- Knowledge of payment industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to hardware testing and factory diagnostics.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for test automation.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
