This role leads product definition process of HP entry workstation from technical aspect. To be successful, you will need to frequently work with colleagues in different functions, different time zones, or even different business units. The goal is to define the best workstation experience and deliver it to the market.
If you are our
Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, Workstation
in Taiwan, you will have a chance to:
- Complete pre-RFQ checkpoints
- Collaborate with other HP business unit or external partners to explore and realize leverage opportunities.
- Lead the team to develop motherboard and system specifications as the foundation of successful RFQs.
- Analysis the feasibility of key motherboard features
- Lead cost estimation efforts to support marketing and business discussions and drive decisions
- Facilitate engineering choicepoint discussions and define closure dates to streamline product development with the best cost/feature/performance consideration
- Define platform development strategies to meet cost, schedule and scope baseline
- Present deliverables to US and local management in English or Mandarin.
Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:
- Typically 10+ years experience of Electrical Hardware Engineering.
- Proven track record of strong technical leadership and capability to facilitating cross-function discussion.
- Track record of great sense of ownership, mentorship, proactive attitude and being a team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence.
- Experience in defining and developing motherboard for high performance computing systems.
- Extensive and in-depth understanding in all PC industry standards and technology trends.
- Possess insights on serviceability, usability and user experience.
- Need to show strong evidence of excellent presentation skills. Ability to make technical presentations to executives in English is highly valued.
- Ability to interpret customer insights and megatrends into actionable items and realize them within cost constrains.
- Able to use Allegro or other circuit design software
- Experience working with both Asian ODMs and US team.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and good command of English.
- Ability to establish clear goals and formulate plans to achieve them.
- Travel to China or US on a need basis
