Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Quality Engineer III
to ensure that our products and services meet the highest quality standards. The QE will be responsible for measuring, tracking, and reporting quality metrics, while ensuring that non-compliant products are identified and contained to protect both TGCS and our customers. From New Product Introduction (NPI) to ongoing monitoring of production and supplier performance, this individual will play a critical role in maintaining quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Manage complex NPI projects and provide insights into supplier performance and selection during the RFQ process.
  • Conduct line readiness audits and support defect resolution throughout all phases of NPI.
  • Evaluate new production processes and equipment, ensuring they meet quality metrics before production release.
  • Supplier Management & Audits
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to assess and improve their quality performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvements and resolve quality issues.
  • Document and resolve supplier-related quality issues by driving effective root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Production & Field Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor production and field performance against key quality metrics.
  • Initiate and manage corrective actions when required, including enforcing "Stop Ship" procedures in response to out-of-spec conditions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for field quality issues, collaborating with customer support and account teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Inventory & Rework Support
  • Direct Fulfillment Centers and FRU Centers in inventory handling, rework, and screening as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to optimize processes, standardize rework procedures, and ensure proper documentation control.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in company audits and ensure quality-related procedures are followed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in supplier quality management or production quality management.
  • Strong background in supplier management and quality assurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and drive resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to leadership and external stakeholders in global scale.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in design and office tools (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to manage unique issues where the analysis requires evaluating intangible factors.
  • Expertise in recommending quality policy changes and establishing procedures that influence cross-functional operations.
