Job Description
As a key member of the Taiwan Leadership Team, this position partners closely with regional and global teams to shape broader marketing strategies, while also cultivating strong customer relationships to maximize sales and brand equity. In addition, the Head of Marketing is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing the local Marketing team, demonstrating strong leadership within a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and brand-building plans aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Ensure the Marketing team is appropriately resourced to support business growth, particularly in Myopia Management.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, practical, and accountable leadership style.
  • Be resilient, a strategic thinker, open to feedback, and quick to self-reflect and apply learnings.
  • Portfolio Marketing
  • Drive product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. Lead launch planning and initiatives to grow market share and brand equity.
  • Optimize channel, brand, and SKU mix; analyze the competitive landscape; and leverage market insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee integrated marketing campaigns, digital content, and CRM strategies to maximize product trial, acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Professional Endorsement
  • Collaborate with the Professional Services team on internal and external communication programs that strengthen CooperVision's relationships with the optometry community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including KOLs and industry bodies.
  • Increase brand preference and visibility among customers, academic institutions, professional bodies, and key opinion leaders.
  • Drive advocacy from eye care professionals to increase adoption of CooperVision products .
  • Represent CooperVision at selected industry and professional meetings.
  • Customer/Consumer Understanding & Engagement
  • Develop deep knowledge of the market, including competitor activity and customer channels.
  • Use market research to understand usage and wearing habits, develop strategies to meet patient needs, and capture opportunities.
  • Support the design and execution of education and myopia-awareness programs to expand product adoption.
  • Champion the customer voice across the Taiwan business.
  • Budget & Performance
  • Manage marketing budgets and P&L, track KPIs, and ensure marketing initiatives deliver ROI and profitability.
  • Make pilot or targeted investments to capture commercial opportunities from both customer and consumer perspectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Professional Services and Sales/Key Accounts to ensure excellence in partner programs.
  • Partner with RAQA, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Support and drive channel breakthroughs with a total commercial-win mindset.
  • Inspire and align cross-functional stakeholders toward a shared organizational vision.
  • Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a results-driven, collaborative, and creative culture.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top marketing talent.
  • Set annual performance goals and development plans for each team member, holding them accountable for results.
  • Provide timely coaching, guidance, and feedback consistent with CooperVision leadership behaviors.
  • Complete and present a succession planning strategy.
  • Serve as an internal and external ambassador of the CooperVision brand, aligned with company values.
