Job Description:
Join Intel in driving the future of data and server technologies. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing next-generation data center server solutions for Intel's largest customers, while inspiring and guiding engineering teams to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop server system and rack-level thermal solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership in mechanical design, validation, and problem-solving.
- Strategically engage with Taiwan thermal suppliers to address customer design challenges (e.g., high TDP, form factors, cost efficiency).
- Lead thermal-related issue resolution and debugging during both design and sustaining phases.
- Collaborate with internal architecture teams to define product concepts aligned with customer needs.
- Coordinate global cross-functional teams for thermal issue troubleshooting.
- Support product design-in, system power-on, debug, and validation for customer platforms.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in system and platform thermal design, applications engineering, or processor/chipset validation.
- Solid data center system and rack design experience is desired.
- Strong knowledge of IA-based server motherboard/system design and debugging.
- Solid understanding of heat transfer fundamentals.
- Proficiency with thermal simulation software (e.g., Flotherm, Icepak).
- Hands-on experience with thermal testing.
- Familiarity with core electrical engineering principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills in English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Previous customer technical support experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
