OVERALL KEY POSITION OBJECTIVE
The AI Governance & Transformation Director is responsible for developing and implementing the company's AI governance framework, ensuring that all AI-related initiatives comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and risk management principles.
This role bridges the gap between technology, compliance, and business strategy—promoting responsible AI adoption and fostering an AI-driven, agile, and learning-oriented organization.
Ensures AI initiatives are compliant, transparent, and explainable. Enhances operational productivity through responsible automation. Builds internal AI literacy and agility, reducing transformation resistance. Positions the company as a leader in ethical AI and RegTech compliance in Taiwan's financial sector.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Governance
- Implement and maintain the organization's AI Governance Framework, aligning with Chubb group standards and local regulations.
- Define AI model management and monitoring policies, including Model Risk Management, Bias Detection, and Explainability protocols.
- Conduct periodic reviews of AI applications in underwriting, claims, and customer service to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and IT team to mitigate AI-related operational and ethical risks.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure third-party AI systems meet internal governance requirements.
AI Project Management
- Lead cross-departmental AI projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
- Develop project charters, track milestones, manage resources, and report progress to senior management & AI Project Steering Committee.
- Monitor project ROI, model performance, and adoption metrics.
- Facilitate integration of AI automation tools in processes such as underwriting, customer service, and fraud detection.
AI Education & Capability Building
- Design a comprehensive AI learning roadmap for employees at all levels (awareness → application → leadership).
- Coordinate internal training sessions and partnerships with external institutions (e.g., Taiwan AI Academy, Google Cloud AI, Coursera).
- Conduct AI Strategy Workshops for executives to improve data-driven decision-making and governance literacy.
- Promote a company-wide AI Culture emphasizing innovation, compliance, and responsible use.
AI Knowledge Management
- Build and manage an internal AI Knowledge Repository containing best practices, case studies, and implementation frameworks.
- Develop processes to capture learnings from AI projects and institutionalize them into playbooks.
- Create and maintain internal AI forums, newsletters, and knowledge-sharing communities.
- Develop an AI Literacy Index and annual AI Maturity Assessment for continuous capability evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a strategic liaison between internal teams (e.g. cross function team, regional team) and external partners, ensuring alignment in business strategies and execution.
- Maintain effective communication with overseas headquarters, ensuring local strategies align with global directives.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Master's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Risk Management, or related fields.
- Experience 7+ years in financial services, fintech, or consulting, including 3+ years managing transformation or AI-related projects.
- Technical Skills Knowledge of machine learning, NLP, or generative AI fundamentals; familiarity with Data Governance, Model Risk, and RegTech.
- Soft Skills Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Capable of influencing across departments and leading change.
- Language Fluent in English (TOEIC 850+ or equivalent).
