Job Summary

This role oversees the financial planning, analysis and business support functions for Taiwan . Responsible for business planning, budgeting and forecasting, enforcing an internal control environment and ensuring solid business governance.

Financial Controlling and Commercial Support

  • Act as a trusted business advisor with the China MD and account managers to help drive the preparation and approval of sound business proposals including new business and re-tenders from existing clients.
  • Review country & client financial performance and compare results to budget, forecast and prior year. Includes making recommendations for ongoing cost and margin improvements.
  • Highlight and challenge financial and commercial risks within the proposed pricing structures and provide professional financial advice for informed business decisions for business development and operations.
  • Commercial review and monitoring of all business opportunities requiring approval according to the company's commercial review process.
  • Act as a Finance business partner to Sourcing Hub Lead to support on all commercial and finance matters related to preparation and approval of sound business proposals, Forex, Taxes and financial reporting and analysis

Ongoing Process Improvement

  • Administer policies and procedures with an eye to enhance the internal control environment.
  • Manage and ensure best practice, business governance and accounting compliance are deployed to company standards and/or statutory requirements.

Financial Operations

  • Work closely with China business unit heads, account teams and the China finance team to help prepare and consolidate business planning and budgeting including monthly forecasts, and annual business plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement for improved working capital management and cash flow.
  • Coordinate with China finance to ensure effective management of corporate structure, tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with Corporate Treasury to execute cash and liquidity management.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc management/financial reporting and analysis to senior management and the region.
  • Manage ad-hoc and on-going projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Accounting Qualification is preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of financial management experience preferably in a multinational commercial environment.
  • Familiar with the accounting and tax requirements in Taiwan
  • Sound analytical skill and business acumen to support business decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage growth and work effectively under tight timelines.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin.
  • Strong customer and business focused mindset.
  • Able to adopt the company culture and understand the business drivers.
