Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Staff Application Engineer who is ready to take on the challenge of joining our talented team, driving technical excellence, and delivering high-quality touch and display driver solutions to our clients worldwide. Our team specializes in developing cutting-edge touch and display driver applications that revolutionize various industries in cell phone and automotive market. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Application Engineering.

Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties

  • Lead core teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Collaborate with the internal development team to create and customize Mobile/Automotive solutions that meet specific customer requirements
  • Provide technical support for the implementation and integration of mobile touch and automative TDDI solution specifically
  • Work with various hardware components, including touch sensors and Display driver applications
  • Drive measurement, debugging, firmware loading, logging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of mobile and automotive display and touch systems
  • Design and execute rigorous testing and validation of applications to ensure they meet performance standards and customer expectations
  • Partner closely with customers to understand their technical needs, provide solutions, and address any issues that arise during the implementation phase
  • Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to identify areas for improvement and work with the development team to implement enhancements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, integration guides, and troubleshooting guides for mobile, automotive and humanoids system

Qualifications (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in an application engineer role or similar technical role
  • Strong experience with hardware components and embedded systems with high proficiency in measurements, debugging, firmware loading, logging, and troubleshooting
  • Strong track record of problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Experience in providing high-quality technical support and building strong customer relationships
  • Hands-on experience in touch or display driver (DDIC or TDDI) solutions
  • Occasional travel up to 10% may be required for customer site visits and support
