Responsibility

  • Design, develop, maintain, and debug BMC Firmware by applying knowledge of server hardware architecture and system design.
  • High-level and low-level design and implementation for new feature or idea.
  • Leadership of team who can play as a platform owner or all-round knowledge who can play as a technical lead or dominate certain domain of BMC relevant who can coach the members.

Requirement

Typically, the following essential qualifications and experiences would be requested:

  • BMC or opensource software solution experience
  • Good C/C++ coding skills, including well design concepts and code tracing skill.
  • well understanding of the principles of Linux operation system, kernel, application.
  • Solid Knowledge of low-level protocol, including I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, GPIO.
  • Well understanding of BMC IPMI2.0 and DCMI1.5, including IPMI Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, event log, PEF, ME, NM, PECI.
  • Independently porting skill of BMC to custom HW or algorithm.
  • Experience of participating at least one whole server project cycle.
  • Rich experience on Redfish or WebUI or linux kernel development.
  • Bachelor or Master in Electronics, computing, software engineering or similar
