Position Overview

The BD Head will be responsible for leading and executing global business development strategy, with a strong focus on expanding market share for immersion-cooled battery solutions in the EV and Energy Storage and Automotive sectors. This role requires strategic vision, leadership, and hands-on engagement with global Brand, OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and energy solution partners. The BD Head will lead a team of 10–15 Sales professionals and work closely with cross-functional departments (Engineering, Product, Operations) to drive commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    : Define and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives to penetrate new markets in EV, industrial vehicles, and ESS (Energy Storage Systems).
  • Team Management
    : Lead, coach, and grow a 10–15 member BD/Sales team, ensuring performance targets, pipeline management, and team capability building.
  • Market Expansion
    : Identify and pursue global opportunities with OEMs, Tier-1s, and strategic partners in automotive, industrial, and renewable energy industries.
  • Partnership & Alliance Development
    : Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, JV partners, and technology alliances to accelerate adoption of IMMERSIO battery solutions.
  • Commercial Execution
    : Oversee contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and long-term business agreements to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    : Partner with R&D, Product, and Operations teams to align market needs with product development, ensuring competitive positioning.
  • Market Intelligence
    : Track global industry trends, competitor movements, and policy changes to inform strategic decisions and ensure company remains a market leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in
    Business Development / Sales
    within EV, energy storage, automotive, battery, or high-tech industries.
  • Proven leadership in managing
    sales teams of 10+ members
    with measurable success in revenue and market expansion.
  • Strong track record of
    international business development
    with OEMs, Tier-1s, or energy solution companies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a
    fast-growing, innovative, and cross-cultural environment
    .
  • Fluent in
    English and Mandarin
    ; additional language Japanese is a plus.
