Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Operations professional to join our System Engineering Development team. In this role, you will collaborate with EMS/ODM/JDM providers to manage day-to-day factory engineering operations, ensuring alignment with Arm's requirements while fostering effective partnerships. You will work closely with engineering teams and regional operational functions to support development progress, supply chain coordination, and factory readiness. Together with suppliers and cross-functional partners, you will help enable the smooth execution of development builds and successful production ramps.

This position requires deep operational expertise — from leading clear-to-build (CTB) status and capacity planning to driving material readiness, shipment schedules, and cross-border production transitions. You will play a critical role as the on-site liaison, ensuring factories deliver against commitments while building the systems and processes that scale AI hardware production globally.

Responsibilities
Factory & Supply Chain Operations

  • Coordinate EMS factory readiness and performance with Arm team to ensure we are positioned for Arm demand and delivery requirements on time.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing operations team to ensure factory operations readiness, including production schedules, CTB status, capacity, and shipment execution.
  • Drive materials readiness, proactive shortage resolution and ensure issues are brought up and closed quickly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), and engineering to achieve on-time shipment of hardware.
  • Work with suppliers to build and implement systems for data exchange to improve visibility and communication across suppliers, CMs, and internal teams.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Coordinate with Arm and EMS teams to ensure factory capacity and forecast (FCST) planning processes to align with Arm requirements.
  • Ensure supplier's purchase orders (PO), inventory flow, and build readiness to ensure development and production schedules stay on track.
  • Track and report on shipment milestones, capacity utilization, and risks to delivery.

Issue Resolution & Risk Management

  • Serve as the "eyes and ears" at the factory, holding teams and suppliers accountable to schedules and commitments.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to help drive real-time resolution of production, quality, and supply chain issues.
  • Develop proactive risk management strategies, identifying potential disruptions and implementing solutions before they impact delivery.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 7+ years in engineering operations, program management, or supply chain roles within EMS, hardware manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
  • Known to work managing EMS factories, production ramps, SMT line migrations, and supplier readiness.
  • Deep experience in capacity planning, forecasting (FCST), clear-to-build (CTB) readiness, PO and shipment management.
  • Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supplier operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle suppliers, Arms, and CMs to achieve on-time delivery under tight schedules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of driving real-time issue resolution.
  • Experience customizing processes and implementing data exchange systems for operations visibility.
  • High sense of ownership, resourcefulness, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

"Nice To Have" Skills And Experience

  • Strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with Asia-based teams and suppliers.
